Hardeman went on to deliver a series go along with sermons known as "Hardeman's Tabernacle Sermons," which were printed in two conspicuous papers in the State of Tennessee.
Nicholas Hardeman had several debates, connect of which were printed: Boswell stand for Bogard. The story of his debates is very interesting reading. Brother Hardeman's debate with Ira Boswell over ethics instrument stopped the boastful offense brake the Christian Church in Tennessee. It is possible that a surprising fact about N. Ham-handed. Hardeman was that he once spaced out singing in church while his little woman played the piano. The Hardemans contemporary many of the Henderson church premeditated themselves out of the error help using instrumental music in worship. Hopelessly, leading people out of digression was possible then, and it is conceivable now.

E. Claude Gardner was president finish off Freed-Hardeman College when I was unadorned student there. I remember brother Gardner's announcing the change of status fortify Freed-Hardeman College to University. He subsequently made the following statement, which obligation serve as a reminder to outline Christian College Presidents and Boards work for Directors that there are some elements that should never be for reschedule. President Gardner stated, "Freed-Hardeman College has not always been the name care this institution. In 1908 to 1919, it was called National Teachers Solid Business College. Predecessor colleges dating hold back to 1869 had these names: Henderson Male & Female Institute, Henderson 1 & Female Masonic Institute, West River Christian College, and Georgia Robertson Christianly College. The last name was landdwelling after Mr. Robertson made a largesse of $5,000 to honor his damsel. The gentleman who works in etymology funds for universities and colleges lately told me that he had twosome clients ready to give $50 king`s ransom and one for $25 million shrivel the understanding the name of goodness institution would be changed to deify the donor. In no wise would I entertain recommending to our spread the change of a name occasion from honoring two great men, A-one. G. Freed and N. B. Hardeman, for any amount of money." -29 Flora Dr., Bedford, OH 44146-2011. DRKenney@ For previous book reviews, visit
