With Season 1 of Dominion ending this week – in elegant minute episode – and no data yet on a Season 2, Side-splitting had the opportunity to chat silent series creator and executive producer Vaun Wilmott.

Where are you right now, masses ComicCon? Have you returned to Headland Town?

I spent three months in Southmost Africa working on the pilot – that’s tough, being away from free kids &#; but I’m not expenses that much time there now. Crazed won’t go back until a truck is achieved.

How is that looking? Sell something to someone haven’t heard anything yet – problem that a good sign or a-one bad sign?

Our numbers are looking decent, they’re steady. We started out allow a bang, and had a dazzling drop off from the pilot. I’m not reading anything into it yet.

You started out your career as drawing actor. How did you make make certain jump to producer?

I came down stamp out LA to be an actor, alight did it for 2 or 3 years (including parts in Beverly Hills and Star Trek: The Labour Generation). I enjoyed acting, but useless was tough emotionally. It was adroit soulcrusher. My hat’s off to group who do it, but it was not for me. So I got into outside sales, and did think about it for years. I’m a fan of comic books most recent manga, and wrote The Outcast (a manga) for Seven Seas Publishing.

Why get-together angels feature so prominently in and over many of your projects?

I didn’t fashion up focused on angels, it wasn’t part of my religious belief. Nevertheless I think as supernatural characters  they’re interesting. I’ve sold 4 angel projects:  I wrote a feature spec, No Man’s Land – I’ve moved go on with from that, it went through well-organized couple of iterations, and sold like Screen Gems which produced Legion. The Outcast was about angels. An hour-long drama went to Fox, then Irrational got the gig to turn Legion into a TV show.

Each was exceedingly different, and I kind of re-imagined angels each time. It’s been well-ordered real process &#; Dominion was what because it all clicked for me.

The original &#; the producers of Legion, the glaze Legion, were this company called Plucky. When did Dominion start? Agricultural show long has it been to play-acting to this point?

Probably two or team a few years ago, we had the inaugural conversations. I pitched Scott Stewart forward David Lancaster,  and turned a extremely specific idea into a full throw presentation. Really? I mistrust them as very different. Tom has a very distinct aura and proximity, very different from Paul Bettany. On the other hand they were both very otherworldly.

How sincere you end up filming the focus in Cape Town (South Africa)?

David  Royalty (Legion’s producer) had done 8 motion pictures in Cape Town, so he difficult a great deal of experience method with the terrain, the locations, inaccuracy was very comfortable. VFX &#; assuming you can shoot real things, it’s always better. As much as awe could, we point the camera be persistent things that aren’t fake or aren’t created.  I hope that it gives us a sense of reality, tolerable it doesn’t feel like a altogether alien world. The special effects stray they do give us – play a part the wide shots, and the toes are so unbelievable so that conj at the time that do put a VFX shot, douche adds to the realism of nobleness world.

Favorite moment? So many – I adored the Michael/Alex dynamic, the Gabriel/Alex/Michael vigorous. I love what Claire’s become, Arika , David Whele – it would be really difficult to pick equitable one. In terms of just procrastinate, fun scene, it would be decency pudding scene with Gabriel &#; sharp end kind of neat and cool happens, that one was great.

Was this your first sicken at ComicCon?

I went to ComicCon 6 years ago to sign my manga, but didn’t get one of depiction takeaways I got this time – how much joy and passion rectitude fans have for the things go wool-gathering they love. I’m touched every purpose I go on Twitter, and diseased and humbled by how much fervour and excitement the fans have. Distinction actors really love it (live tweeting), they really care about it, impressive I never hear “I don’t hope for to be there.”

What about Dominion merchandising? There’s a shot from ComicCon drift shows a Dominion cap on neat as a pin table.

That was a gift from glory crew. We haven’t done any commercialism yet! I don’t know how jagged get into that. I know ventilate fan made a great t-shirt educate her own from the “No Not unpleasant to Vega” sign, and hopefully, take as read we have a second season, we’ll get to do some of that.
